People watching at Place des Vosges

Place des Vosges offers a much needed herbaceous repose from the hustle and bustle of the neighboring Marais. Here you can stroll around in the shade of the archways and window shop at the boutique art galleries or have a leisurely lunch at the popular Café Hugo (pictured above), a most beloved establishment amongst the expat community. The archways make up the perimeter of a well manicured park, with shady trees, open lawns, large fountains, and plenty of benches which offer the best vantage points for people watching. Practical Info: Place des Vosges is located in the 4th arrondissement near metro stops St. Paul and Chemin Vert.
